Can I consolidate all kinds of goods? +
Most items are eligible for Hongkong forwarding. However, prohibited items or those beyond the carrier’s range—like flammable liquids—cannot be shipped.
What’s the difference between direct shipping to HK and consolidation? +
Direct shipping means the seller ships directly to your Hong Kong address—fast and simple. Hongkong Taobao Shipping, on the other hand, sends your items to a forwarding warehouse first, then we repack and send them to you. It's usually more economical.
If the seller offers free shipping, why do I still pay forwarding fees? +
“Free shipping” usually only covers delivery within mainland China—to the warehouse. You still need to pay for international forwarding to Hong Kong or overseas.
How is shipping from mainland China to Hong Kong charged? +
Most Hongkong forwarding services charge by weight. Some have a base rate + additional kg pricing, while others offer tiered pricing—heavier packages enjoy lower per-kg rates.
How is volumetric weight calculated?
Typically: volume weight = length × width × height / 6000. The higher of actual vs volumetric weight is charged. Some services like Giant Shipping charge by actual weight only.
Are taxes included in Hong Kong shipping?
Normally, no. Only when the declared value exceeds HKD 1,500 and gets inspected by customs will you be required to pay tax.

- Reinforced packaging: For valuable or fragile goods. We replace the box with a high-quality one and reinforce with bubble wrap, fragile stickers, plastic corner protectors, etc.
- Fragile protection: Includes reinforced packaging, with an additional 3 layers of bubble wrap wrapped around the outer box.
- Insurance: If insurance is purchased, compensation will be based on actual value, with a maximum claim of ¥2000.
- Default billing rule: The greater of the volumetric weight (L × W × H / 5000) or actual weight will be charged.
